The 6l80e has an RPO code of "MYC" and is manufactured in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The transmission uses direct clutch-to-clutch shifting and does not have bands.The problem was a transmission valve body check ball. Check ball #1 had shrunk and stuck in the separator plate. I took it to the transmission shop Tuesday morning, explained my symptoms, mentioned possibility of check ball as seen on internet from 3 different transmission shops.
