But bladesinging, as in the official flavour of the class is an elven style of magical fighting. The name comes from the sounds of elven swords wooshing when you swing. This is why the subclass initially requires you to be an elf. Now you can reflavour almost any subclass.
Song of Victory is just added onto whatever your melee attack is doing in damage, so as long as your Wisdom and Intelligence are both at 20, a shillelagh attack would result in 1d8+10 damage.
